Stargate Atlantis: Sheppard/McKay
Post Lost Boys this is a really good take on why the enzyme affected Rodney differently. It also features a broken John and with a character as canonically emotionally stolid as his, I can’t help but find it really intriguing to see him break (but only ever in that way where I want him fixed again and this story does that as well.)
